Applications

The cup brush / wire cup brush BT60-K is a multi-talented tool for removing rust, flash rust, corrosion, paint or scale, tough materials such as industrial adhesives, but also for welding seams and the cleaning of shuttering boards. They are irreplaceable in use with rust removal tools such as angle grinders, straight grinders and brushing tools and bring corroded, dirty or painted surfaces for shining.

Cup wire brush BT60-K - Allround brush for rough cleaning work

Cup wire brushes with plaited wire are suitable for aggressive brushing applications, such as derusting and cleaning metal surfaces. The BT60-K cup brush has a diameter of 60 mm and can be mounted on angle grinders or brushing tools with M12 x 1.5mm mounting . The cup brush is equipped with 0.5 mm plaited steel wire. The knotted steel wire is ideally suited for heavy cleaning works. The optimum speed is in the range up to 12,500 min^-1. We recommend in any case the use of appropriate protective clothing, such as safety glasses, work gloves and work clothing.
TIP: The wire structure determines the aggressiveness of the insert - crimped wire for light to medium cleaning operations, knotted/plaited wire for heavy cleaning operations.
The diameter of the wire and the load determines the amount of ablation - the thicker and denser the wire, the higher the ablation.
The material determines the intended use: steel wire for common applications - stainless steel wire for processing stainless steel surfaces.
The fill length determines the service life - the longer the fill, the longer you can use the cup brush.
